Welcome to Dancing Panda Soapworks Custom Creations

Here is where you will find examples of our custom creations.

These are artistic pieces done for a triple wedding reception in July 2007.  They are, in fact, wedding cakes made from soap. One bride was so shocked and pleased, she squealed upon the reveal.

Soap Cake

This one has a citrus theme.  The "frosting" and transparent decorations were made from an earth-friendly handmilling base and are scented with our Sunny Disposition scent.  The opaque bits were cut from bars of our handmade Ginger Lemon Verbena.  Finally, the inside was made from an 8-pound slab of Sunny Disposition which was cut in half and stacked, with a "filling" made from the same orange-hued handmilling base as the squares you see ringing the perimeter of the top tier.

Soap cake 2

This cake was made pirmarily from a slab of Tea Tree Oil, for this parituclar couple spends a lot of time doing hot sweaty work in front of a forge.  The green butterflies and leaves were made from handmilling base scented with something I concoted called White Clover Tea, and the opaque hearts and flowers were cut from handmade bars of "Bear" Olive.  The ribbons were added as a nod to the couple's wedding colors.

Soap Cake 3

And here is what I affectionately refer to as the "Squeal Reveal" cake.  The inside is made from a slab of Sunny Disposition, with a whipped "filling" of pink-toned Plumeria separating the layers.  The frosting is made from a handmilling, or "melt-and-pour" base, as are the pink butterflies, and is scented with Plumeria, as well.  Finally, the wonderful "white chocolate" shavings were created from the bits left over after beveling the cake layers, and are scented with Sunny Disposition.
